Michelle: Who can dispute the purity and power of the 2,060 Stripling Warriors? They were, “men who were true at ALL times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted. Yea, they were men of truth and soberness.” Alma 53:20-21 We can all be like them when we turn our lives over to God, when we remember our purpose here on earth and when we put the things of eternity first on our busy schedules. I know the gospel is true.
This has me thinking of the parade in Bountiful where 2000 young men dressed up and marched as if they were the stripling warriors. I'm sure the actual warriors were the same age or not much older.
ReplyDeleteThose in the parade and the warriors of old are essentially fighting the same battle against wickedness, and we mothers, as the mothers of old, are a key part in teaching and preparing, so that our children, too, can state, "our mothers knew it."
